SPECIAL MUSICAL GUESTS - May 11
Connie Kis Andersen
One big difference with Cowboy Church is the celebration of the Word in music. The typical choir is not present. Instead some of the finest singers/songwriters/entertainers from Nashville, the local theaters, and across the country appear to perform their favorite gospel/spiritual music. In the case of Connie Kis Andersen, her appearance adds more of an international flavor; really international. She was born in Denmark, raised in Australia, and during the earlier period of her career, she also recorded her own material in Jakarta, Indonesia, and performed it on Asian TV for the English Hour show. Somehow she also found time to earn degrees in both Economics and Psychology from the University of NSW, and worked in Sydney with special education before moving to Perth, W.A. All the while, her first love, music, wouldn’t go away. She had began learning the banjo-mandolin at the age of eight and by the time she was eleven years old, Connie Kis was performing at local town hall concerts and on guest spots with Australian Country Music legend, Slim Dusty.

After moving to Western Australia, Connie performed as the lead singer in several bands, trios and duos which led her to being named Best Western Australian Country Music Female Vocalist at the 2006 Boyup Brook Country Music Festival in W.A. She is currently in the United States on a radio tour to promote her latest single "Wicked Game."

Gene Coleman
Eugene Coleman began his singing career at eight years of age on WKYR in Keyser, West Virginia when he was assigned the task of singing "Open Up Your Heart and Let the Sunshine In" on "Search the Scriptures Broadcast" from the Westernport Assembly of God Church Then at age twelve, he was again given an assignment by his late father and that was to preach for the first time.

At age fourteen, Gene formed his first quartet. The other four members of the "Courtiers" were all merely twelve years old. They toured the West Virginia/Maryland region conducting concerts will he entgered Zion Bible College in East Providence, Rhode Island, where he formed another quartet and travelled extensively throughout New England representing the school. Gene was chosen to become a member of a twenty-voice recording and touring choir as well as the Zion Gospel Temple Mass Choir while a student there.

Upon graduation from Zion, his music ministry blossomed as a soloist. He sang in one additional quartet in Central Virginia. During that tiime, Gene participated in the planning of the very firsts "Happy Birthday U.S.A." annual celebrations of the Statler Brothers in Staunton, Virginia and led their gospel night programs for the first couple of years. That same quartet was featured on ABC Nightly News because it was a gospel quartet invited to perform the the start-up of a Republican Lt. Governor's Campaign in Rural Retreat, Virginia.

Gene has shared the stage as a soloist with other notables as the Happy Goodmens, the Rambo's, the Cathredals and the Brothers as well as the famous Scenic Land Quartet from Chattanoga, Tennessee. He recorded his first album at Duane Allen's studio in Hendereson, Tennessee with notable musicians; Tony Brown, Mark Ellersby and John Breland who were members of the Oak Ridge Boys Band at that time.

He spends his time today in the gospel music field. He founded the Carpenter's Cowboy Church in Chattanooga, Tennesse some fourteen years ago, after Joann Cash Yates planted that seed within him, and he ministers with a church-full of entertainers in the Chattanooga market. Gene and his band, The Carpenher's Cowboys have done a weekly show, featuring secular and gospel music for the past fourteen years for the many new professional truck drivers at Covenant Transport in Chattanooga. He and his band conduct monthly block parties at parks and neighborhoods throughout the area featuring four hours of gospel msuic and ministry. The Carpenter's Cowboy Church dresses a 53 foot long flat-bed truck each year to participate in the several Christmas parades featured throughout the Chattanooga Market. The float is electified with the band's instruments and they play gospel music from the time the float arrives for its place in line - throughout the parade route and all the way back, also as a ministry.

Gene also serves as chaplain of the Tommy Jett Entertainer's Reunion and its board chair, an annual reunion of both broadcast and entertainment members who get together once per year to bring everyone together and to raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital. He sings every Sunday at the church, every week at the Covenant Jamboree and his band does a forty-five minute segment of gospel music as the reunion each year for the past eleven years. Local notables like Roger Allen Wade, Jeff Cook and Christ McDaniels have all played with Gene and his band at this annual event.

SPECIAL MUSICAL GUESTS - May 25
Jessica Davis
Born in the Smoky Mountain heartland of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Jessica was steeped in the Southern mountain values so prevalent in country music. Growing up in Dolly Parton&Mac226;s hometown, Jessica has lived in a world that combines the appeal of down-home hospitality and its natural landscape with the flashy, fast-paced tourist attractions which captivate and target the country music-listening audience.

College discovered not only her scholarly talents, but her musical&Mac183; Joining an a cappella choir in college, Jess immediately became the main featured soloist. With a few group recordings under her belt, she began entering singing contests and winning them all. She began singing at special events for one of Pigeon Forge&Mac226;s theaters, Fiddlers&Mac226; Feast. After college graduation, she earned a regular spot singing in their Breakfast show Uncle Bud & the Dixie Darlins&Mac226;. She is now a guest vocalist at Tennessee Shindig.

Branson show and record producer R.P. Harrell heard Jessica&Mac226;s voice through a series of events, and was utterly astounded she had no vocal training. He immediately sought to make an album with her, and a few weeks later, Jess was recording tracks with well-respected studio musicians Mike Kennedy, Timmy Crouch, Bobby Springfield and others. In November 2006, Jess just completed her first album, Mountain Dreams. A compilation of country cover songs, Jess sells the album primarily at Tennessee Shindig.
Singing, however, is not the only pursuit of this country gal. As Valedictorian of her high school class, Jessica earned a degree in Political Science and Military History at Duke University. Jess is also committed to promoting the importance of good character and Christian values through a monthly column with the Knoxville News-Sentinel. Her future is undecided, though she&Mac226;s committed to making a lasting impact for Christ to as many people as possible.

3rd Anniversary
Nash 3
This dynamic singing-songwriting trio has, over the past several years, blended their collective talents into a truly unique, one-of-a-kind sound. Nash3 is comprised of Bill and Kim Nash and their youngest son, Jimmy.

Bill and Kim share strikingly similar backgrounds, both being preachers' kids. As a member of The Beltone Family Singers, Kim performed gospel music from coast to coast from the time she was eight years old. Bill also grew up in a family gospel group, The Nash Family Trio, who recorded several albums for Columbia Records.

In 1968, Bill began a solo career on Mercury Records which led him to many television appearances and chart-topping records. As a songwriter, Bill started his career with a couple of cuts by the legendary Eddy Arnold. In 1980, Bill met Kim, an event he says that happily brought an end to his solo career forever!

In late 1994, superstar Reba McEntire recorded a song that Kim and Bill collaborated on which became a top five hit single entitled, "They Asked About You." That song was included in McEntire's Greatest Hits Vol. II, an album that went to #1 and has currently sold over six million copies.

Their latest hit is "In God We Still Trust", which was not only a #1 independent record for Nash3, but was recorded by country supergroup, Diamond Rio, on Arista Nashville Records. Since the worldwide release of the single and music video, it has become increasingly popular, and is quickly becoming a patriotic standard.

Today, Bill, Kim, and Jimmy continue to write and sing unique and down to earth songs that touch the heart of their listeners.
SPECIAL MUSICAL GUESTS - June 15
Bobby Bowen
At the age of 16 growing up in a small town in Arkansas, Bobby Bowen knew he had a calling on his life to sing Gospel music. Being a fan of the Happy Goodmans and the Hinson Family, his calling was confirmed when he saw them perform live on stage.

In December of 1982 his dream came true when he was offered a job with The MidSouth Boys Quartet as lead vocalist and bassist. After 3 years the group changed direction and became a Christian Country trio and found success with their first top ten song on The Singing News top 40 charts with "Guilty of Loving Me." The following year not only did the band's success double with 2 top five songs, "You Did It Again" and "That's My Child," but Bobby was also nominated in the top 10 finalists for lead singer of the year at the Singing News Fan Awards. In 1987 and 1988, "City Lights" and "Resting Place" were top five songs respectively.

A recording contract with Word Records in 1989 produced another top 5 song, "Sin Met Grace," and "Tabernacle" was a top ten song in 1990 resulting in a video on CMT and TNN. The band was nominated for a Grammy for Southern Gospel Album of the Year in 1992, and their third CD with Word Records produced another hit on CMT called "You Were At The End of Every Road" that same year.

In 1994 MidSouth signed a recording contract with Warner Alliance, a division of Warner Brothers, and in 1995 their freshman project with the label produced the hit, "Without You (I Haven't Got A Prayer)," which crossed over different music genres reaching number 27 on Billboard's Pop charts. A video release to CMT and VH1 also resulted from the crossover hit. The band won a Dove Award in 1995 for "Country Recorded Song of the Year" and that same year they won "Vocal Group Of The Year" at The CCMA Awards.

The members of MidSouth retired and went their separate ways in 1997, leaving time for Bobby to become more involved in his church and start a family. He became the sound tech at Cornerstone Church in Madison, Tennessee where he attends with his wife Becky and their children, Grace, Landis, Hope and Faith.

Staying true to the calling on his life, Bobby and two other members of MidSouth reunited forming the band, Heritage Road that he currently sings with part-time. It's Bobby's desire to minister full-time so he is fulfilling that desire by ministering as a soloist as well as keeping dates with Heritage Road. Bobby has 25 years of experience singing Southern and Christian Country.
